Chameleon Plant (Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon')
A short, showy plant with variegated heart-shaped leaves of crimson, green, cream and yellow. Chameleon works well as a ground cover near the edge of the pond. The leaves are very aromatic when rubbed, and it gets small white flowers in early summer. Much more robust in moist soil, without water over the crown.
Hardiness Zone: 5-11
Planting Container: We recommend a 2 gallon solid planting container or a medium planting bag. Also does really well in a 10" floating planting container.
Light Requirements: full sun to part shade
Height: 6"-12" - Spread: Running Habit
Water Depth: Moist soil or water up to 1" (Maximum water depth is for mature bog plants)
