Nymphaea 'Chromatella'

Chromatella is a free flowering classic water lily with canary-yellow cup-shaped, fragrant flowers. Lily pads are dark green with bronze variegation. This hardy yellow waterlily needs only three or four hours of sunlight to produce blooms. An excellent choice for any size water garden, from small to large. It is perhaps the most popular yellow due to its many attibutes! Hybridized by Marliac in 1895, Chromatella was awarded the Award of Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society, and is still highly sought after today.

SIZE: MEDIUM (6' to 12' Spread)
PLANTING CONTAINER: We recommend a 2 gallon solid planting container or a medium planting bag.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS: FULL SUN TO PARTIAL SHADE
WATER DEPTH: 6" TO 48" (Maximum water depth is for mature water lilies)
USDA HARDINESS ZONES: 3-11

Water Lilies are shipped bare root and will require planting upon arrival.

    Thank you for a great plant. I have to grow in water tubs and I’m going to get another soon. Trying to decide on hardy or tropical.

    Very nice robust looking plant, plenty of leaves and already had some shoots ready to spread out.

    Came promptly, careful packaging and good instructions. It appears healthy. I’ve never handled a water Lily before so I am looking forward to watching it grow.
