Nelumbo 'East Lake Pink' Hardy Water Lotus
East Lake Pink is an excellent bloomer, with large rich, deep pink flowers that are almost red, and in fact are darker than many of the classic reds. A newer Chinese cultivar, it and other recent cultivars have raised the bar for color and number of blooms!
SIZE: Small-Medium (Height 4-5', Medium Spread)
Planting Container: We recommend a 2 1/2 Gallon Solid Planting Container or a 4 1/2 Gallon Solid Planting Container.
Light Requirements: FULL SUN
WATER DEPTH: 3" TO 18" (Maximum water depth is for mature lotus)
USDA HARDINESS ZONES: 4-11
Lotus are sold as bare root tubers, or sometimes later in the Spring as runners with small leaves. The growing points are fragile, and must be handled very carefully.
