Product Overview
Golden Club (Orontium aquaticum)
Golden Club is a wonderful Eastern US native, with odd narrow spikes of bright yellow and white flowers in early to mid Spring. Golden Club usually blooms very early, before most pond plants, and are welcome bright streaks of color after a dull pond winter!
Flowers are long and narrow, unique and very bright--the yellow is a clear bright yellow, and the white is a clear bright white. The contrast is arresting, and a mature plant can have several dozen blooms for a striking display.
Leaves are long ovals, velvety to the touch. If planted in shallow water the leaves will be emersed (out of water), while if planted in deeper water (12") the leaves will float. In either case, blooms will be out of the water.
Slow growing and low maintenance!
Hardiness Zone: 5-10, not recommended for hot desert climates; if in doubt, plant in 8-12" of water for floating leaves, as the water will help moderate both hot and cold conditions. Shade and gently flowing water is also protective in heat.

Light Requirements: full sun to part shade
Height: 12"-16" - Spread: 12-24"
