Pickerel Rush (Pontederia cordata)
Enjoy blueish purple flower spikes throughout the summer months when you add this popular aquatic plant to your water garden. The heart shaped leaves of Pickerel Rush are dark green and shiny. One of our best selling pond plants. Plant Pickerel in a 2 gallon container or larger, as the rhizome travels across the pot sending up new plants.To overwinter in cold climates, place well below the frost line to protect the roots from freezing.

Planting Container: We recommend a 2 gallon solid planting container or a medium planting bag.
Light Requirements: full sun to part shade
Height: 24"-30" - Spread: 12" to 24"
Water Depth: Moist soil or water up to 10" deep (Maximum water depth is for mature bog plants)
