Nelumbo 'Yimeng Red' Hardy Water Lotus
Yimeng Red is one of the newer Chinese red hybrids, and one of our favorites. It is a large and robust plant and a great bloomer, with bright, medium red blooms held high. Great form in plant and flower!
SIZE: Large: (Height 3' to 5', Large Spread)
Planting Container: We recommend a 4 1/2 Gallon Solid Planting Container or a 5 Gallon Solid Planting Container.
Light Requirements: FULL SUN
WATER DEPTH: 3" TO 24" (Maximum water depth is for mature lotus)
USDA HARDINESS ZONES: 4-11
Lotus are sold as bare root tubers, or sometimes later in the Spring as runners with small leaves. The growing points are fragile, and must be handled very carefully.
